E.H. Herzensdieb

Herzensdieb was the 2005 Trakehner Verband licensing Champion! As a young horse, Herzensdieb qualified to compete at the the 2006 Bundeschampionat 3-year-old and 6-year-old then trained through Advanced level dressage. He was the Reserve Champion of his 70-Day Testing with 133.56 dressage; 111.90  jumping, and an overall score of 127.78. He won the cross country with 9.5 and received a 9.0 for trot, 9.5 for canter, and 8.5 for walk. In 2013, the Trakehner Verband awarded him Elite Hengst status based his performance and the performance of his offspring.

As a breeding stallion, Herzensdieb is an improver of type with amazing rideability. Herzensdieb has an FN breeding value for dressage of 142 with a security of 94% placing him in the top 10% of German Dressage Sires. Many daughters including Heartbreaker and Helmi have won honors at large mare shows throughout Germany.Owner Louise Leatherdale has been honored twice as USDF Dressage Breeder of the Year, 2016 and 2017.

Notable offspring include: Hollywood – M**/Grand Prix dressage horse with Helen Langehanenberg; Elfenzauber, qualified for the Bundeschampionate for 6-year-old dressage horses; Approved son Herzenswunsch – Bundeschampionate finalist; Hannigan L – multiple USDF finals Champion; Kir Royal – 7th 2019 French Young Horse Championships; Balerina Royal – 2019 Hungarian Dressage Championships Junior Bronze Medal; Laxdoyen – licensed son; Herzenswunsch – licensed son, 2012 Champion of Southern Germany, Horse of the Year in Berlin-Brandenburg and a multiple Bundeschampionate finalist.
