Kobra von C is one of only two Trakehner stallions in North America that is by the Dressage great, Gribaldi. Kobra was imported from Denmark when he was a 3-year-old and was approved by the ATA soon after. After his performance requirements were met, he was primarily a Dressage horse for his Young Rider owner and then went on to a large Hunter/Jumper barn in Texas where he was competed on the Jumper circuit. He has a limited foal crop to date but all of his offspring are showing promise in all three main disciplines.
KOBRA is bred for dressage but is extremely athletic with a powerful jump. He was shown to Preliminary in eventing before an injury during turn-out ended his show career. He has a wonderful temperament that he passes on to his foals, and was shown by a young rider.
Inspection comments: Kobra von C is an attractive, four-year-old black sallion that shows athleticism, good ground-covering movemement and elasticity in all of the gaits. He is a fairly large stallion with a very good neck set on a balanced frame. His face and head could show slightly more elegance of expression. The frame is eleant, athletic and well balanced but could have a stronger coupling and have more depth of body in the area of the loin. He has fairly good legs with strength in his foundation and with only slight toeing-in of the forelegs. He is a willing and handy jumper showing much confidence and technique. He possesses a very good temperament. He should be a good stallion for mares needing improvement in movement and athleticism. (Brad Kerbs)
