Lord Locksley came to Crystal Spring Farm in the fall of 2007 and quickly took center stage in our lives. He has been proven to be one of those rare rides, everyone would just love to experience. His ridability and trainability and temperament are incredible. Locksley is smart, athletic and has incredible talent for collection. He is currently successfully competing Grand Prix on the Florida show circuit with scores at 72+%. He is also successfully competing at international Para Dressage with a young rider!
He was approved with the ATA in 2010 and is also ISR/OLD approved. Official ATA Inspection Comments by Sam Eidt, DVM: "The first impression of Lord Locksley is good. On closer inspection his body parts blend together with harmony. His expression of rnasculinity is enhanced by a large and kind eye. Good breed and gender type are clearly present. The first impression is reinforced. His frame is good and demonstrates the depth of girth and loinneeded for both endurance and power. Still, the hindquarters could be a little larger. Legs have good bone and his hooves are ofgood quality. He is slightly base narrow behind and could use more angulation in the hind legs. His foundation is fairly good. His walk, trot, and canter are all good. At the walk he tracks up well and covers ground efficiently. He has elasticity at the walk. His trot has good rhythm but could be a little more uphill. He uses his joints well which produces lightness and balance at this gait. Likewise, his canter has suspension and a good, three beat rhythm. He covers ground well at the canter but could be a little more uphill. His jumping demonstrated a willing attitude but he could be more careful and have better front leg technique. Overall jumping skills were fairly good. Lord Locksley was nine years old when inspected. Thus he was required to be observed under saddle and this demonstration went very well. First impression and overall general impression may or may not be in agreement when inspecting a stallion. In the stallion, Lord Locksley, the general impression is good. He has presence. He is an attractive stallion with a temperament to match. In addition, he shows good rideability. "
