Ricardo was the Reserve Champion at the 1973 Neumünster approvals. He stood at various locations in Germany until he was imported to North America in August of 1980 by the Barton family. He stood at the Barton's Castell Imperator Hof in Illinois until his untimely death in 1983. Comments from German Trakehner Stallion Book: A stallion of significant format with well-defined muscles and a strong foundation; the strong, broad hocks are a bit close together; the hind pasterns are pointed outward somewhat; significant mechanics in all phases of movement.
