After being approved at Neumünster in 1971,Rubin remained at stud in Germany until 1985, where he was European Riding Horse Champion. In 1985, he was imported to Alberta, Canada, and stood there until 1990. From 1991 to 1993, he stood for Cedar Valley Trakehner in Langley, British Columbia. In 1994, in a neglected state, he was acquired by Norma Knittel of Graham, WA, who nursed him back to thriving health. He remained with Norma until his death late in 1996. Comments from German Trakehner Stallion Book: A well-defined type with an expressive face, great nobility in his overall appearance. Outstanding trot action, very good canter, moving a little pointy in front and somewhat narrow behind. European Approved Sons: Majoran (FRG), Mendelssohn II (FRG) (now gelded)
