Malachit was approved in Neumünster in 1965. He remained at stud in Germany through 1972; he was then moved to Holland and remained there until 1977. In January of 1977 he was imported by The Knoll Farm of Suffolk County of New York; he remained there through 1984. During the years 1985-1987 he stood at Galten Farms in Ontario, then was retired. Comments from German Trakehner Stallion Book: Impressive in his appearance and of the distinct riding horse type. Much presence; long, well-carried neck; very good top line; medium strong, correct foundation; somewhat narrow in his body, chest and croup; wonderful mover, light fluid and swinging. His get usually inherit his handsome type with much presence; he has played an important role in the breed as the producer of several approved stallions and numerous good daughters.
