Orpheus was approved at Neumünster in 1974 then sold to Holland. In 1976 Margret and Daniel Gafford of Sankt Georg Farm in Virginia imported him because of his valuable bloodlines. In 1981 he was sold to Windtrek Farm where he died in a breeding accident in the spring of 1990.
