Arentino’s sire (Santiago by Wie Ibikus and out of the foundation mare Schwalbenlied) was Champion of the grading in 1980 and was a very substantial large-framed grandson of the legendary Ibikus. Wie Ibikus himself produced, in only two years standing at stud, a large number of higlyh successful dressage horses competing up to Grand Prix, among them the graded sons Vatout (international Grand Prix horse) and the very well known dressage sires Kiebitz (sire of Banditentraum) and Ferrum. Santiago himself produced a number of outstanding broodmares as, for example, Argentina (full sister to Arentino), Cinzana, Kelly Lady, Countess, Fortuna and Chanel. His real value can be seen in his offspring's competition results, among a big group of successful horses in advanced competitions, such as the international three-day event horse Campari, who for many years was the most successful Trakehner in this type of competition and the Grand Prix dressage horses Satchmo, Kapitan, Kaschmir and Finalist. Arentino’s dam, E.St. Arktis II, presents herself as one of the most valuable broodmares of the whole Trakehner breed, being a full sister to the great stallion Arogno, (sire of Schwadroneur and Partout), which was the real reformation of the breed within the last 30 years. Besides Arentino she produced St.Pr.u.Pr.St. Argentina by Santiago (full sister to Arentino), which was Champion and Supreme Champion of many shows, also Anteus by Saint Cloud, successful three-day event horse at advanced level, Arktikos by Balzflug, doing so well in Austria at Prix St.Georges and Altlantis by Velasquez, Reserve Champion of the central grading and show in Denmark. E.S.t Arktis II was awarded Elite mare status in 2004 by the TrakehnerV erband in Germany. Arentino completed his 100-day performance test in Germany. He was successfully ridden in dressage up to Prix St.Georgse and Intermediaire, as well as some show jumping circuit, which was something that he preferred to dressage. Approved Sons (Great Britain): Singing Horatio (2006) Singing Herbstglanz (2007) - approved by the Verband (passed his 70 day test) and is now competing in Denmark
