American Trakehner Association
RECOGNITION OF EXCEPTIONAL STALLIONS

Application for recognition must be submitted to the ATA Central Office for consideration by the ATA Board of Trustees.

This program applies to approved/registered ATA stallions. The stallion must be in good standing and his owner must be a paid-up member of the association at the time of application. The program intends to reward stallions that combine in themselves the ability to perform at an exceptional level and produce offspring that show evidence of having inherited that same ability.

There are two categories for earning recognition:

  1. Recognition on the basis of a stallion producing exceptional offspring (offspring must be ATA registered to be considered)
  2. Recognition on the basis of a stallion's own performance accomplishments.

Stages of recognition are progressive and points earned for the Elite category are cumulative
