16.3 h Black. Platinum succeeded in all classic disciplines: Winner of 8 HOY Champion Working Hunter titles (incl. ATA) 2005-2007, winner of Open Classics and Combined divisions at international shows. He placed 2nd at the ATA Jumper Stake (4’3”) in Columbus OH 2006. He won the Individual Gold Medal 1st Level dressage at the Quebec Equestrian Games 2008, was Res. Champion 1st Level at Beaulieu Classic 2008 and Kelowna Spring Dressage Festival (BC) 2009. His sire, Carino *E*, was ATA Elite Stallion and Canadian Sporthorse “Stallion of the Year” 2000; his dam, Palma Nigra *E*, is ATA Elite, Honor Roll and Gerda-Friedrichs-Award winner mare, a half sister to US Olympians Livius and Windfall *Pg*E* from the mare family of Olympians Peron *Pg*E* and E.H. Partout. * Platy’s ‘carbon copy’, tall typey, calm, well moving and jumping offspring are Oldenburg Premium/High Score foals, halter winners, dressage champions and A-Hunter champions from Vermont to California. Platy produced 5 premium foals in 2017. Congratulations to the Platy son: Mntaire's Palladium on winning the FEH 5-year-olds in July 2017. Platinum vom Rappenhof is approved by the ATA and is Performance Star Approved by the ISR/OLDNA. ATA inspection comments: Platinum vom Rappenhof, a brown'black colt, was inspected as a 3 1/2-year-old. Platinum is an elegant and expressive stallion. He is of medium frame and substance and shows much harmony and balance. His neck is set on his frame properly, and he possesses a smooth top line with proper back length and coupling. His forelegs could be more correct as he has some medial rotation, toes in somewhat and paddles slightly. His movement, however, is active, covers a lot of ground and is elastic in all gaits. There is good self-carriage and he shows a good deal of athleticism. He is handy and light on his feet. His jumping technique could be improved with more tucking of forelegs. He has a very good temperament. Platinum appears to be a good cross for mares that have correct foundations but need refinement and improvement in movement. (Brad Kerbs)
