The pedigree includes, in the Dam line, the Olympic jumping stallion Abdullah *Pg*E*, through his grandson Advocate, the Grand Prix jumping Champion. KD Trakehners bred this stallion in the U.S. He is by the stallion Blitz und Donner *E* who received the "E" designation at a young age. Ryan is a calm, measured, interested guy. Friendly, attentive with great strength and unwavering attention, a remarkable mind.
He was approved by the ATA in 2011. Official Inspection remarks by Brad Kerbs are: Ryan Patrick is a large, well developed bay stallion showing good stallion expression and Trakehner type. He has a well-proportioned, muscular frame with a good saddle position and a good deal of balance and harmony of parts. He has a strong topline with a good neckset. His foundation showed strong bone but his legs, both fore and hind, could be better aligned.
His walk, trot and canter are all fairly good but could benefit from more impulsion, reach and ground cover. The rhythm of all the gaits was correct during the at-liberty phase and in hand. The stallion showed he is a willing jumper with good technique negotiating the obstacles with ease. His temperament and character displayed were excellent.
His pedigree shows that he is one-quarter Thoroughbred as his dam is an Anglo-Trakehner. He may appeal to a number of mare owners seeking a stallion with a bit more Thoroughbred up close in the pedigree. He should add size and scale to foals from mare owners wishing to produce a larger horse with good type and desirable temperament. |
