Justiz *Ps* is by Lolos out of Janella by Antritt and is owned by Chuck and Danny Wharton of Lancaster Oaks, Woodstock, Georgia. He was foaled at Lancaster Oaks with his trainer, Laura Wharton Bradford, in attendance on 13 March 1982. He is the second foal that his dam, Janella, has produced. Justiz is the first stallion approved by the Stallion Certification Committee whose sire and dam were conceived and foaled on the North American Continent. He is the only approved son of his sire, Lolos, who in turn is the only remaining approved son of the stallion Slesus, a full brother of the legendary stallion, Pregel. On his dam's side, the Thoroughbred blood comes from Pindar xx through Loretto and Antritt. The full brothers, Komet and Kobalt, from the famous mare line of Kokette 691 are represented through Talent the dam of Antritt and through Antares the sire of Jama, who is Justiz's granddam. Slesus is also present through the dam's side four generations removed. As an unbroken 2 1/2-year-old, Justiz displayed the highly desirable characteristics of an even temperament and an unceasing willingness to serve. ATA approved son: Favian *Pb*. Inspection comments: Good type, very clean texture, still lacking in muscle development. Narrow, good hooves, but soft in the pasterns, average mover. (Dr. Eberhard von Velsen)
