History:
Schwalbenzug was approved at Neumünster in 1974. He stood at Gestüt Tenever in Germany until January of 1981 when he was imported by Jay Albrecht of Prospect, Kentucky. He stood at Albrecht's Sutherland Farms until 1991, when he was moved to Newmarket, Ontario to stand a King's Windy Fields. He was humanely destroyed at age 23 to spare him from the pain of an old injury from his performance days that never quite healed.
Comments from German Trakehner Stallion Book:Very similar to his full brother Schwalbenflug in conformation, color and markings; medium size frame, good head, neck and overall appearance; faultless foundation, very satisfactory in walk and trot.
