History:
Idol was approved in Germany in 1970. He remained at stud in Germany a short time before being sold to Holland. While in Holland he was trained to M Level in dressage and used at stud under the name Jagermeester. During the fall of 1981 Idol was imported to the United States by Hamilton Farm. In 1982, under rider Meg Plum he qualified for the World Dressage Championships selection trials, however because of medications he was given during a bout with colic he was unable to compete for a spot on the USET team. He stood at Hamilton Farms until his death in 1985.
