Breeder: Gerhard Schickedanz, Markham, ON
History:
Aberdeen was approved by the ATA in October of 1994 at the Columbus, OH inspections. He was owned by his breeder Gerhard Schickedanz until being sold in early 1999 to Kenneth Garber. Following his approval he stood at John Krenger's Sancturary Farm until 1998. While at Sancturary Farm he completed his performance test and competed very successfully in combined training and dressage. In 1998 he was moved to Independence Farm then was sold later that year to his current owner. He was gelded shortly afterwards to pursue a career as a show hunter.
Comments by Lars Gehrmann at time of ATA inspection:Son of Aida, half sister to the internationally successful Abdullah, bred with much emphasis on jumping. Significant rectangular frame; somewhat plain in type with a friendly face that reflects his good temperament. The foreleg could be more distinct. Good breadth and depth in his body. His way of going, which covers a lot of ground, could at times close up more. Overall an impressive stallion of the reinforcer type, with emphasis on jumping.
