Comments:
"Tate" combines a bold, inquisitive nature with a very sweet and loving temperament that makes him exceptionally easy to handle. This is a very special young colt as he is not only the full brother to the ATA approved stallion, Tycoon, but is also the last colt from the stallion Onassis, now retired. Tate combines the excellent dressage lines of Consul and Magnet on his father's side, and Avignon (a full brother to Arogno) and Flaneur on his dam's side. This is a proven cross, with Tate being the 7th foal from Onassis and ATA mare Tanzania. His full brothers and sisters are competing and doing well on the line, in hunters, dressage, and in eventing. Tate himself has been to one show, at the tender age of 6 months. Under an "R" judge, he scored a 74% (second highest score of all breeds/sexes/ages of the day) with 8's on both his walk and his lovely, floating trot. At 9 months of age, he sticks a solid 14.3 1/2 hh and promises to be the 17 hh horse most of his brothers and sisters are. He is being kept intact for now so that his new owners can deceide if they want to present him as a stallion prospect. Tate will be shown at DSHB shows this summer, and his price may change based on his show record. He is lifetime registered with the USEF and the USDF.
