Odin SR *PS* is a 2005, 16.3 ˝ non-fading black US bred approved American Trakehner stallion. He is exceptionally fertile and is collected, stored, and shipped at Peterson Smith/SBS Ocala. Odin SR *PS* is very athletic, balanced, willing, agreeable, and confident and passes those traits on to his offspring. He has good substance, frame, and strong hocks. He carries his rider well, with a strong and supple back and loin. His hindquarters are textbook perfect. His temperament and work ethic are stellar, and he has “cooled” the mind of the offspring from very hot mares he has been bred to. As a Trakehner possessing some of the best XX blood in his pedigree, he offers noblesse to warmbloods that he is bred to, while having enough substance and frame to cross well with Thoroughbreds and Arabians. His pedigree is full of the most proven German bloodlines that helped shape the Trakehner and Hanoverian breeds. He is sired by Kostolany, the sire of Gribaldi (sire of Totilas), Painted Black, and Sister de Jeu and many other highly successful competition horses. His dam sire is EH Consul, known to be a jewel in a pedigree, especially when found in the mare line. EH Consul is the dam sire of Don Frederico, Don Vino and Donnerberg TSF among others. Odin’s dam produced horses who competed at high levels in all three major disciplines. Although competed in dressage, (trained to Grand Prix, shown through PSG) Odin scored a 9 on his jumping at his inspection and has the quality that he could have had a career in that discipline as well. |
