At 3 years old: a horse may compete in-hand for futurity earnings.
At 5 years old: 2 options are available:
DRESSAGE:
Training Level Dressage in USDF recognized shows. The rules of eligibility for the USDF "Horse of the Year" awards must be followed.
Those competing in Canada will show at Basic I and must compete in at least 4 different CEF approved shows under 4 different judges with a minimum of eight scores. These will be incorporated into the U.S. scores. Details available upon request
JUMPER FUTURITY OFFERED IN 2006
A generous sponsor has donated $1500 for an ATA Jumper Futurity for 5- and 6-year-old Trakehners. All ATA registered horses foaled in 2000 and 2001 and owned by a current member are eligible to participate. They must compete or have competed in Level 1, 2 or 3 Jumper classes at USEF or Equine Canada recognized shows between October 1, 2005 and September 30, 2006. Points will be assigned for placings in these classes and the horses with the highest number of points wins $1000, the second place horse wins $500.
